The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Audrey Fountain can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Fashion with Mom

Because of her upbringing Mom wanted only the best for us so she and Dad did their utmost to provide a good home with a proper upbringing for all of us.  Before fashions changed (for the worse in my opinion) we girls always wore dresses and the boys wore shirts and ties ... for most family occasions but especially for celebrating holidays.  I remember wearing assorted red velvet dresses every Christmas with  ‘aprons’ over them to protect them (as did my sisters) and one year after I had expressed that I would like a blue velvet dress with a white collar for a change … Mom actually had one made for me.  Wow!  That was special.  Mom had a real creative flair for creating fashions and a fine eye for detail work … and it showed as she was extremely talented in making clothes (as many of you know).  Mom often won first prize for her entries into the local fairs with clothing that she had made.
