The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Audrey Fountain can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Mom Growing Up

I have so many wonderful pictures of my Mother growing up surrounded by her Grandparents and her many Aunts & Uncles (she had 14 of them).  She was an only child but had close to one hundred cousins and was often surrounded by family.  I am ecstatic at finding these priceless treasures.  Mom was raised in Toronto by her own Mother and a stepfather until her Mom (my Granny) became ill ... this is when my grandmother's sister (Aunt Vicky whom I am named after) stepped in and took over.  Mom was well off to start with but Aunt Vic made sure that Mom had the best of everything ... she was sent to the finest girl's schools and was spoiled every summer in Eaton's Camp for Girls where she rode horses, canoed, sailed, swam, played golf, badminton, tennis, volleyball, had picnics and danced and just enjoyed life … there are so many pictures of her doing these things.  Mom was so very blessed … she was raised as a 'proper lady' with all the privileges afforded to one and she was always dressed in the latest fashions and her clothing was impeccable.
