Obituary for Ron "Bucky" Buchanan
In Loving Memory of William Arthur Ronald “Bucky” Buchanan
Served his country with the Armed Forces, faithfully served his Province with the Ontario Provincial Police, served his community as a councillor for the Township of Snowdon.
Passed away suddenly at home in Minden on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the age of 72.
Husband of Denise (nee Kelly). Dear father of Wendy Purcell (Rick) of Lakefield, Kevin Buchanan (Caitlin) of Minden. Loving Papa to Katie Purcell, Keira Buchanan and Violet Buchanan. Dear brother of Tania Buchanan of Barrie. Predeceased by his parents Pauline (nee Swerdon) and William Buchanan. Fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit the family for a Memorial Gathering in honor of Bucky at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 636, 12847 Hwy 35, Minden on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 12:00 o’clock noon until 3:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
