The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Walter Ackerblade can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I have known Walter since I was a little girl, have fond memories of his laughter and humour, his dashund puppies, the beach at Twelve Mile Lake, his daughter and, most recently, at Highland Crest where I served as his phyiotherapist. Walter was thriving until he lost his little brother Wilfred, also one of my patients. I pray for you, the family, that you will remember the good times with fondness and dwell on the positive parts of Walters life as you grieve his loss. My condolences go out to each and every one of you. I was not able to attend the funeral today, hence, I send my sympathy through the Funeral Home's website. I was blessed to have known Walter. God be with you.
