Verna G. Bailey (nee Wells)
Passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 8, 2014 with her loving family by her side. At the age of 74.
Beloved daughter of the late Albert and Alvine Wells. Predeceased by her common-law husband Percy Gilliams. Loving mother of Barbara Bailey, Albert (Susan) Bailey, Gilbert (Lisa) Bailey, Sylvia (Dan) Bailey and loving grandmother of thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lloyd (Madeline), Neville, Eric, Beatrice (Edgar), Nina, Katherine and predeceased by Wilbert, Noble, Sylvia. Lovingly remembered by Patrick Bailey (Doreen Francis), Bruce Tapp and by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In keeping with Verna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service has taken place. Verna will be interred with her parents and her sister at Summerside, Newfoundland.
Memorial Donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation (H.H.H.S.F. Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
