Obituary for Kathleen Kitty Dawson (Martin)
Kathleen (Kitty) Dawson (nee Martin) passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 14, 2016 in her 92nd year, surrounded by her family.
Cherished mother of Gillian (Gary), Susan (Carson), Kim (Derrell), and Rusty (Laurie). Beloved Nana to Jeff, Greg, Kathy, Kevin, Louie, Lindsay and predeceased by Kurt. Grandnana loved by Carter, Ella, Charlie, Erik, Ethan,Clark and Ethan.
Born in Hastings, England, she emigrated to Canada as a young wife and mother. Widowed at an early age, she inspired us all with her fierce sense of independence and self reliance. Her travels took her far and wide where she spread love and laughter in her own unique way. Touching the lives of all she met, she will leave a legacy of kindness and compassion.
Bon voyage, Mum, on the best journey of your life.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Kitty's Life will be held at the Fireside Lounge at Hyland Crest Senior Citizens Home, 6 McPherson St., Minden, Ontario on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm.
Memorial Donations to Hyland Crest Residents Council would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427 Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
