Passed away peacefully at Highland Wood LTC, Haliburton on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the age of 97.

Predeceased by her husband Royston and by her son Garnet. Eva is also predeceased by her parents Clarence and Lenora Sedgwick (Wallace) and her sister Beatrice (Bill Crofts) and her brother Garnet Sedgwick (Gladys Crofts). Eva is fondly remembered by longtime friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Eva lived in Lindsay for many years and retired in Haliburton in 1974 with her family. Eva enjoyed sitting by the fireplace with her cat Sporty on her lap. She was an avid reader and loved reading about the British Royal Family. Many thanks to Librarians at Dysart Library for keeping her well stocked with reading materials.Eva loved to travel and enjoyed sharing her adventures.

Her family would like to thank all her Personal Support Workers and Highland Taxi drivers that helped her in her later years. Thanks also to the Staff of Highland Wood for their kind care and patience. Sincere thanks to Bea Hutchings, her special friend for all her help and care for many years.

Eva loved fashion , pop culture and current events. She loved entertaining. We will all remember Eva the next time we have a cup of tea.

Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427 Minden, Ontario on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of the Service to Celebrate Eva’s Life at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the Monk-Cray Family Centre at the Funeral Home. Spring Interment at the Evergreen Cemetery in Haliburton.

Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
