Obituary

In Loving Memory of Arthur Forbes

It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Forbes announce his passing at the age of 52 on Monday, September 21, 2020.

Arthur leaves behind his brother, Kevin Forbes; aunt, Colleen Little and cousins Kelly Farnsworth (Jason) and Karen Crawford (Adam).

Arthur was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Bev Forbes; grandparents, Roy Little, Mary and Cline Goldsmith and uncles, Dean and Dwight Little.

Arthur was born on May 25, 1968. He grew up in Minden and lived most of his adult life there until moving to Lindsay in recent years. This spring he moved to Gloucester, Ontario where he resided at Extendicare Laurier Manor prior to a short stay at the Ottawa General Hospital, where he passed away after a short illness.

Arthur had a very kind heart. He loved animals and enjoyed his pets. He loved to play board games and cards, especially Euchre. He loved living in Minden and had fond memories of the friends he made there over the years.

Arthur will be cremated and will be interred at the Minden Cemetery. The family will gather privately in memory of Arthur.

I am so very sad to hear about Art's passing. I have been trying to get in touch with him for a while now without any success - I am guessing he lost my phone number again as he used to call me quite often. I am glad you were enjoying your new found freedom these past few years, I just wish it could have been longer. I am going to miss you. You were a sweetheart of a man with a big heart and a gentle spirit and I always enjoyed listening to you on the phone and visiting with you when I could. You were like a son to me. Rest in Peace Art. Many hugs to his family.

Arthur worked for us at Birch Point Lodge many years ago. He was a great worker and got along well with our kids. Art was like a member of our family. He even lived with us for one winter. We have very fond memories of Art. So very sorry to read about Art's passing. Dennis & Roxanne
