In Loving Memory of Aileen Mary Brown (nee Watson)

Born in Kinmount, Ontario on April 27, 1922 and quietly passed away at Caressant Care, McLaughlin in Lindsay, Ontario on January 18, 2021 in her 99th year.

Daughter of the late Herbert and Marg Watson. Predeceased by her husband George Brown (2005). Dear mother of Joan (Dave) Parton, Barb (Doug) Meagher, Marg (the late Gerry) Luke, the late Len (2014)(Carol) Brown, Gloria (John) Clarke, Angus (Anthea) Brown, Kevin Brown and predeceased by her infant daughter Rosemary. Loving grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also predeceased by her brother Joe Watson and by her sister Lorraine Barker. Loving remembered and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In keeping with Aileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life and interment at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Kinmount will be held at a later date.

Memorial Donations to the Sick Children’s Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.

Aileen was a wonderful lady in all aspects of the word. She was an amazing cook and baker and loved to share her homemade buns. Her poems and stories were evidence of her excellent writing skills and story telling. She will always be in our memories. Much love to the family. John and Michelle Barkwell

Dear Angus and family
I am truly sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother
Aileen was an example of goodness always thoughtful and kind
I will never forget Aileen's kindness to our family at the time of our Mother's (Zeta Byrne ) death
Your Mother arranged along with other member's of the St Patrick's CWL the lucheon held after the funeral service
This was greatly appreciated at our time of needed help - another example of Aileen's kindness
Your Mother is resting among the angels

Sincerest Condolences to all in your family at this time, especially now when it’s so difficult to grieve properly. She was well respected & loved by all in Kinmount & we all have many fond memories of her. Aileen almost made it to 100. Hopefully this pandemic will be over soon & you can all come together for a Celebration of Aileens life!
