In Loving Memory of Peter Alexander Varty
November 5th, 1952-December 14th, 2021
Peter passed away on December 14th, 2021 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, supported by family and friends. He leaves behind his wife Ann and daughters Kim (Lonny) and Joann (Joel) as well as his much loved grandchildren Lainey, Brody, Grayson and Scotty.
Peter's love for Haliburton began during his family summers at Twelve Mile Lake with siblings Elizabeth, Barbara and Paul. Since 1977, he and Ann have enjoyed hosting summer guests at their Lake Kashagawigamog property.
Peter traveled the county roads reading hydro meters, delivering library books, plowing driveways and riding his Harley, always happy to be meeting people and sharing stories.
A special thank you to Dr. Tina Stephenson and the care team at the Haliburton hospital for their kindness and exceptional care.
Spring Interment will be at Twelve Mile Lake Cemetery, Carnarvon. Details to follow.
