Obituary for Mabel Myrtle Hunter (Mintz)

In Loving Memory of Mabel M. Hunter
(Postmistress at the Gooderham Post Office until she retired at the age of 65)

Passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Haliburton Hospital with her family at her side, at the age of 100.

Beloved wife of the late Ron Hunter (1963). Dear mother of Sharon, Paul, Dennis (predeceased), Bonnie Pettit (Craig) and Don (Karen). Loving grannie of Steven, Hugh, Laura, Gregg, Erin, Ron, Kelly, Andrew, Tim, Kendall and great grannie of Justin, Kara, Hayley, Evan, Matthew, Lucas, Rebecca, Katelyn, Nicole, Eleanor, Logan, Emma, Patrick and great great grandmother of Ava. Sister of Gwen and predeceased by brothers Clifford, Ernie and sisters Dorothy, Gladys, Margaret, Vivian and by her parents Louis and Emma Matilda (Tilly) Mintz. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gooderham Pentecostal Church, 1042 Mill St., Gooderham (masks are recommended in the church) on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 12:30 pm until the time of the Funeral Service to Celebrate Mabel’s Life at 1:00 pm. Interment at Glamorgan Cemetery, Gooderham. Reception to follow at the Robert McCausland Centre, Gooderham.
