Obituary for Marie Cox
In Loving Memory of Janet Emily “Marie” Cox (nee McPhaden)
Owner of Cox’s Apparel in Minden for over 60 years.
Passed away peacefully at Hyland Crest Senior Citizens Home at the age of 94 with her granddaughter Dawn and Jimmy by her side.
Predeceased by her husband Elwood (Woody”), her only daughter Gloria and son-in-law Dean (Elliott). Adored and always lovingly remembered by Dawn and Jimmy. Also remembered by her granddaughter Ginger and family, as well as her special friend Carole McKelvey and countless other friends and store customers.
As per Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place with interment at the Minden Cemetery.
Marie was always a great supporter of the community. It would be most appreciated if any memorial donations be directed to the Hyland Crest Resident’s Council and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
