In Loving Memory of Gloria Mary Moore (nee Fattori)
It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria Mary Moore in her 93rd year. Gloria passed away peacefully in her home, on her own terms, smiling on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 with her family by her side.
Born May 14, 1930 to Lena and Frank Fattori, Gloria grew up in Milliken with her sister Irene (Johnston). After graduating from the Shaw Business School, she met and married the love of her life Ray (d) in 1950. The two shared a love and wonderful life together for 56 years until Ray’s passing in 2006. A brilliant business woman, Gloria was the Matriarch of the Westside Group of businesses. She loved playing games, bridge, euchre, poker, and watching the Blue Jays. Gloria was well travelled, but cherished being at home with family.
Family is everything, and Gloria’s pride was heard whenever she talked about her 8 children, Glenn (Debbie), Raylene (Terry Clarke), Colleen (Blake O’Byrne), Keith (Haley), Daryl (Kelly), Brian (Colleen), Rawn (Trevor Graham) and Scott (Michelle). She was loved and admired by her 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Gloria will be missed, but fond memories will forever be in our hearts. We celebrate her passing, where the Lord will welcome her to sit with her beloved husband Ray. The family wish to thank Dr. Nell Thomas, health care professional Olivia, the workers at G.A.I.N. in Minden, and Kirsten and Barry at Monk‘s for all you have done in assisting us during these days.
Cremation has taken place, and per her wishes there will be no services. Donations to the Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
