In Loving Memory of Scarlett, Ferne Ruth (nee Anderson)
Ferne passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 30, 2022 at the age of 82. Ferne was the dear wife and best friend of the late John Scarlett. She was the loving and devoted mom of Jason (Rhonda) and Todd. She was predeceased by her infant son Christopher. Ferne was the very adoring and proud Grandma of Nolan and Brady. She loved to watch them play sports and had the biggest smile every time she saw them. She is predeceased by her parents Russell and Dorothy Anderson and her brother Glen (Jean) Anderson. She will be dearly missed by her sister Beryl (Floyd) Kimble.
Ferne was a very proud school teacher for 35 years. She started in a one room schoolhouse in Gelert and eventually retired from Ridgewood Public School. She sent her grandsons off to kindergarten knowing their colours, shapes and how to count to twenty. She was a big Blue Jays and Maple Leafs fan. Ferne loved to laugh and could barely tell a story without laughing halfway through, whether the story was funny or not. She always had scratch tickets in her purse and had the craziest luck.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
A big thank you to the amazing staff and NP Amy Thompson at Case Manor Nursing Home. Their care was exceptional.
