This was circulated to all executive members of the Mountain Lake Property Owners’ Assoc. by President Howard Clarke.

It is with a great deal of sorrow that I report to you that Ed Forsbrey has passed away recently on Wednesday morning, May 27 at his home here on Mountain Lake (ML). On behalf of our MLPO Association I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Forsbrey family which has been a firm supporter of our Association for many years.

He is survived by his wife June who had served as our ML Secretary for a number of years. His daughter Julie Achtermeier was also a Director who did such a wonderful job organizing the annual picnic and bbq. His son Steve has been an active member of our Association as well. We thank them all for their service and dedication to our community over these years.

Ed was a world class long distance swimmer in his younger years and remained a competitor, a gentleman and a family man to the very end. Our Association and ML community will miss his warm personality and he will be forever remembered.

My sincere condolences to June, Julie, Steve and family. Ed was such a great friend to my dad over many years. I always admired his competitive spirit, he was an inspiration to me in so many ways. And I will continue to proudly sail his boat around Mountain Lake for many years to come.
