My friend Carol

Carol was my PSW after my car accident in Burnt River. We became friends. Parker and I lived with her and Max for 2 years.
Carol was devoted to her work. She had a special attachment for Darcy.
I spoke to her on August 5th and we talked about the cats and I was to travel to Minden to pick up Parker.
We spoke about her health and Edmonton. I wish I had more time with her.

I am very sad that you left so soon. I lost you and Parker in the same breath.
Rest In Peace.

Tribute to Carrol

Carol was a beautiful and understated human being. She was a friend to our entire family and a primary caregiver to our daughter for almost a decade.

We are shocked by her loss and left with a void that is difficult to describe.

Carol took care of our disabled daughter - and they became best buddies. D’Arcy can not speak - but, we can tell that she is feeling the same loss that we are.

Carol was there for me when my dad became gravely ill. We sat quietly on some Minden granite and she helped me put my situation in perspective.

Carol drove from Minden to Toronto to watch and support my wife sing on numerous occasions - and became her best groupie in the city.

Carol was a giver - and a caregiver to her core. And, she did it in an understated and mater-of-fact way that did not seek thanks. But, we can never thank her enough for what she did for our family. We hope we were able to provide her just a fraction of that joy.

What I know for certain brought her great joy was the love of her family and friends.

Her almost lifelong friend Marylyn was a constant joy in Carol’s life. And Carol also helped her through the difficult times during the loss of Marylyn’s husband.

What brought enormous joy and pride was her relationship with her son Paul and his family. She never stopped talking about the joy that her son’s family brought her - the entire family - Paul, Tabitha, all of the kids and in-laws. She lived for those video chats and trips to Edmonton.

She missed her last trip to Edmonton - she has taken a different type of trip. But, we will never forget your love Carol - we love you - and big kisses from D’Arcy!

My very deepest condolences to you. I have worked with Carol for several years with Paramed and loved the few times we were able to get together. She was a very special lady and will be sadly missed by her fellow colleagues, clients, friends and family.
