Predeceased by his loving wife Jean (nee Upton) of 60 years. Loving father of Wanda (Brian) and Kevin (Tanya). Cherished grandfather of Lauren. Dear son of Jack and Louise (Cowen) brother of Louise (Lloyd), and the late siblings Alice, Wallace, Lloyd, Leslie, Helen, Phyllis, Violet, Doreen and Jean. Al was an incredibly dedicated Thornhill Seniors Club Volunteer. For years, Al was always the very first to arrive on Wednesday mornings to make sure Carpet Bowling was set up properly, putting everything just right. I really miss saying good morning to him. He always had a sunny smile then, even on the cold and dark winter mornings when most us would much rather still be in bed. No matter what, he was always there if he could be.

So many at TSC have said that his distinctive laugh brought joy to everyone around him. It truly did. He will be sorely missed.
